Creepy Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe – Creepy Chocolate Cookies for Halloween

These creepy chocolate chip cookies will be absolutely scary but delicious and you can scare the hell out of people!!!!

We have the family tradition of making cookies for whatever celebration that we have. And every time we meet friends and families, we gift them with homemade cookies and get their applause.

Making these cookie varieties are really fun because it would be a family time working, chatting and playing around. Even when we get bored, we prepare cookies to kill our boredom.

Creepy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Since it was Halloween we were all set to prepare our traditional cookies!!!! Cookies are not preferred by many people because of the sugar content in it. So, we planned on making less sugary cookies so that our neighbors and friends can have more of them.

Since it was Halloween, I wanted to make some Halloween themed cookies. So, we got all the ingredients and set on to make Creepy Chocolate Chip Cookies!!!!

We mixed little sugar, cream butter, almond butter, chia egg and other dry ingredients and made the cookie batter. We placed small scoops of this batter on the parchment paper and baked it in the oven. The baked cookies were soft and were ready to be decorated.

I gave the decoration part to my kids and they did a fantastic job!!! They made some indents for the eyes and mouth. They made black marks with the food color to make the eyes look scary and placed the sugar pearls to look like eyes.

They broke some almond slivers and fixed them as teeth and again covered them with black food color so that they looked dreadful!!! 😊 They also used some red food marker and made some blood run around the teeth as of the cookies have eaten something raw!!! The creepy Chocolate Chip Cookies were really creepy but delicious!!! Try it at home and enjoy!!!

Creepy Chocolate Chip Cookies
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350° F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl combine ground chia and water. Set aside.
  3. In the bowl of a stand mixer cream butter and almond butter. Add chia egg and sugar. I only use 1/4 cup sugar but you could add more if you like your cookies sweeter.
  4. Add remaining dry ingredients and mix to combine.
  5. Using a 1 1/4 inch cookie scoop, scoop batter onto parchment lined baking sheet and flatten slightly. These cookies will not spread so make them as large or as small as you want the final cookie to be.
  6. Bake 8-10 minutes. Cookies will be soft.
  7. Make an indent where you want the eyes and mouth to be. I worked with my cookies warm so the dents didn't turn in to cracks.
  8. Using the black marker color in the holes.
  9. Press sugar pearls in the indents for the eyes.
  10. Break almond slivers into teeth like shapes and press into the mouth as desired.
  11. Using the red marker color the teeth to look like blood. On some of the cookies I wanted a more bloody look and chose to use gel food coloring and a paint brush to get a more dramatic look!
